In the mouth
Structured and layered, with generous red fruit expression balanced by fine tannins and good acidity. The wine possesses both elegance and substance, developing complexity through the palate.
On the nose
A delicate bouquet unfolds with exquisite red fruit aromas, complemented by restrained oak influence and mineral undertones characteristic of the limestone-rich terroir.
On the eye
Luminous garnet with subtle iridescent highlights, reflecting the wine's refined character.
Breeding
On lees for 16 to 18 months, including 12 months in oak barrels.
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with poultry dishes and cow's milk cheeses. Its refined structure makes it equally suitable for lighter meat preparations and traditional Burgundian charcuterie. Drink now or cellar for five to eight years as it develops further complexity.

DOMAINE DE LA POUSSE D'OR

Established on the east-facing slopes of Volnay in the Côte-d'Or, Domaine de la Pousse d'Or farms 17 hectares of argillaceous limestone soils under full biodynamic certification. Founded in 1964 by Gérard Potel and taken over in 1997 by Patrick Landanger — whose son Benoît has managed the estate since 2018 — it produces Pinot Noir of real precision and mineral character, firmly rooted in the Volnay terroir. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its biodynamic commitment, the consistency of its cuvées across vintages, and the genuine typicity it offers the serious Burgundy enthusiast. A dependable reference for Volnay at its most authentic.
