In the mouth
Well-structured and balanced, with firm tannins providing excellent backbone. The mid-palate shows good concentration of fruit flavours, finishing with a persistent, elegant aftertaste.
On the nose
Expressive bouquet of ripe red fruits with subtle spice and mineral undertones. The aromas develop with air, revealing layers of complexity typical of fine Gevrey-Chambertin.
On the eye
Brilliant ruby with good depth of colour
A wine of considerable merit with food. Roasted poultry, white meats, and game birds will all find excellent partnership here. The structure and acidity make it particularly suited to dishes with subtle sauces. Best enjoyed at cellar temperature, decanted thirty minutes before service.

Appellations: Gevrey-Chambertin, Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru (Lavaut Saint-Jacques), Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru. Traditional vinification with oak-barrel ageing. Wines of great depth.
