A Monbazillac of genuine distinction and proven merit

  • This moelleux offers the characteristic richness of the appellation—a wine that is both generous and graceful. The natural acidity of the white varietals maintains freshness throughout, preventing any heaviness. Candied fruit and honeyed notes dominate the palate.
  • Equally at home as an apéritif or accompanying a light dessert course. The wine's natural sweetness and textural weight make it a convivial choice for occasions when you wish to conclude on a note of quiet pleasure.
  • Château les Cailloux represents straightforward, unpretentious winemaking from the Dordogne. It delivers the essential character of Monbazillac without unnecessary complexity—a reliable choice for those who appreciate the style.

Product features : Chateau les Cailloux - Monbazillac Moelleux 2023

Breeding
12 to 18 months in concrete vats
On the eye
Deep straw-yellow with brilliant golden reflections
On the nose
Concentrated aromas of candied stone fruits and preserved citrus peel, with subtle floral undertones characteristic of the terroir
In the mouth
Richly textured yet balanced. Flavours of dried apricot, acacia honey and hazelnut develop across the mid-palate. The natural acidity of the white varietals provides a counterpoint to the wine's inherent sweetness, ensuring an elegant finish rather than cloying conclusion.
M. Francois
Château les Cailloux exemplifies Monbazillac at its most approachable. It delivers precisely what the appellation promises: fruit-forward character, generous sweetness and genuine pleasure without pretension. A dependable choice for finishing a meal on a note of quiet contentment.
