100% GAMAY SAINT-ROMAIN -

Granite terroir expressed through pure, mineral Gamay

  • Cultivated on granite soils at altitude, this Gamay reveals the mineral precision and freshness that define the finest expressions of its terroir. The stone-driven character lends distinctive tension and clarity to the wine.
  • Farmed organically without synthetic inputs, respecting both vineyard and landscape. Sustainable viticulture that allows the terroir to speak without chemical intervention.
  • A generous, fruit-forward wine of real character. Excellent with charcuterie, grilled meats, and Mediterranean dishes. The silky tannins make it equally at home with white fish or lighter poultry preparations.

Product features : Domaine Serol Cote Roannaise Eclat de Granite 2022 — Cote Roannaise

Breeding
In concrete vats to preserve fruit purity and aromatic finesse
On the eye
Brilliant ruby with purple reflections
On the nose
Red and dark fruit aromatics—cherry and blackberry—with a distinctive mineral edge and subtle spice. The granite terroir announces itself clearly on the nose.
In the mouth
Silky tannins provide structure and suppleness. Good weight and length on the palate, with the mineral character providing freshness throughout. A wine of balance and refinement rather than extraction.
M. Francois
This vintage demonstrates the particular elegance of Gamay on granite. The wine pairs beautifully with white fish, lighter poultry, and charcuterie. Its mineral backbone and moderate alcohol make it a natural choice for the table rather than the cellar. Drink now through 2027.

DOMAINE SEROL

Perched on south-south-east facing slopes above Renaison at 400 to 550 metres, Domaine Serol farms 38 hectares of granite and sandy soils in the Côte Roannaise appellation. A family property traceable to the seventeenth century and now in its fifth generation, the estate was taken on by Stéphane and Carine Sérol in 1996, who converted the vineyards to organic and biodynamic farming and brought the Gamay Saint-Romain — the appellation's emblematic grape — to a remarkable level of precision. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its agronomic approach, the character of its granite terroirs, and the confident personality of its reds, whites, and rosés. A quietly authoritative address in the Loire.
