Where terroir and noble varietals achieve harmony

  • This Bordeaux demonstrates the classical balance that defines the region's finest expressions. A thoughtful blend of the two principal varietals, each contributing its distinctive character to create a wine of genuine complexity and restraint.
  • A genuinely versatile companion to the table. Whether with roasted meats, poultry, or a selection of cheeses, this wine adapts with quiet confidence. The silky tannin structure ensures it complements rather than overwhelms.
  • Sourced directly through Les Halles de Quercamps, this wine offers the quality you would expect from a serious Bordeaux property, without the premium typically attached to such provenance.

Breeding
This cuvée undergoes extended ageing in oak barrels, typically 12 months or longer. The oak is employed to temper the Malbec's power and impart an elegant patina.
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with excellent clarity and depth
On the nose
Considerable aromatic complexity unfolds gradually. Red fruit notes—cherry and plum—mingle with subtle vanilla undertones and hints of cedar, suggesting careful élevage in oak.
In the mouth
The palate reveals admirable balance. Silky tannins provide structure without harshness, whilst the fruit remains fresh and well-defined. A wine of poise rather than power, with a clean, lingering finish.
M. Francois
This is a wine built for the table rather than for display. Its versatility is genuine: it performs equally well with beef and game, lighter poultry dishes, and a range of cheeses from mild to moderately aged. The moderate alcohol and balanced extraction make it suitable for lunch or dinner service. A sound, unpretentious Bordeaux that rewards a proper glass and good company.
