Three generations stewarding this remarkable Rhône terroir

  • Vines cultivated exclusively on muscovite granite soils, which impart distinctive mineral character and structure to the wine. This geological foundation is fundamental to the expression of Condrieu's identity.
  • Viognier from this terroir reveals delicate floral aromatics alongside stone fruit complexity. The variety here achieves remarkable balance between richness and freshness, characteristic of the finest Condrieu expressions.
  • The entire domaine is farmed using reasoned viticulture practices, respecting the natural rhythms of the vineyard whilst maintaining rigorous quality standards across all operations.

Product features : Cave Yves Cuilleron - Condrieu Petite Cote 2023

In the mouth
Gourmand and refreshing in equal measure, with a distinctive peppery spice providing structure and grip. A mineral bitterness extends the finish, offering excellent length and a lingering, savoury conclusion.
On the nose
Inviting bouquet of apricot and quince with peach and citrus notes. Delicate floral nuances—lilac, rose and violet—mingle with honeyed undertones, creating an aromatic profile of considerable refinement.
On the eye
Brilliant pale gold with subtle luminosity
Breeding
Ageing 50% in 30-hectolitre wooden foudres and 50% in Burgundian barrels without racking, 8 months on lees. Blending of different parcels before bottling.
M. Francois
Exceptionally versatile at table. Serve as an aperitif to showcase its aromatic complexity, or pair with delicate white fish such as sea bream, where its mineral backbone and floral notes complement subtle, refined preparations. Also harmonises well with shellfish and lighter crustacean dishes.
