On the eye
Pale gold with green highlights; bright and translucent.
On the nose
Fine and precise, with mineral notes suggestive of chalk and flint. The bouquet reveals white orchard fruit beneath a subtle herbaceous undertone, characteristic of cool-climate Chardonnay.
In the mouth
Mature fruit expression balanced against a crisp, almost austere mineral spine. The palate shows restrained oak integration and a clean, saline finish that lingers with quiet authority.

Domaine A. et P. de Villaine is a wine estate in Bouzeron, Côte Chalonnaise (Burgundy). Directed by Pierre de Villaine (co-manager of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti) and his wife Elaine. Around 30 hectares farmed organically. Appellations: Bouzeron (Aligoté), Rully, Mercurey, Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise. Terroir wines of finesse and precision.
