In the mouth
The palate echoes the nose with amplitude and power. Peppery and spiced notes provide structure and length, with the fruit remaining well-integrated throughout the finish.
On the nose
Aromas of woodland floor and small red fruits, with gentle vanilla undertones that emerge as the wine opens. The bouquet develops complexity with air.

The élevage unites with each wine's character: one third matures for approximately 6 months in barrels whilst the remainder softens gradually in large oak vats
This wine pairs admirably with roasted lamb flavoured with sage, or with characterful cheeses of pronounced flavour—aged Comté or blue-veined varieties work particularly well. Its structure and warmth make it an excellent choice for autumnal dining.

Domaine Pierre Amadieu is a family wine estate in Gigondas (Vaucluse), Southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1929. Around 135 hectares of vines. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault. Appellations: Gigondas, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages. One of the largest Gigondas estates. Cuvée Romane Machotte among the most sought-after.
