- This is a generously structured wine, hand-harvested from mature vines in the Gigondas appellation. The careful selection and traditional vinification methods ensure a wine of substance and character, built to age gracefully.
- Entirely hand-picked during the vintage, each parcel was vinified separately to preserve the nuances of the terroir. This labour-intensive approach reflects the domaine's commitment to quality over convenience.
- The 1.5-litre magnum format is ideal for family gatherings and special occasions, offering both practical utility and the slower oxidation that magnums afford, allowing the wine to develop complexity over time.

In the mouth
Well-structured with supple yet powerful tannins that frame the palate without overwhelming it. The finish is long and persistent, marked by black pepper and dried spice that linger pleasantly.
On the nose
An inviting bouquet of red and dark fruits—cherry, plum, and blackberry—interwoven with subtle spice notes and a whisper of garrigue, the signature of southern Rhône terroir.
On the eye
Deep, brilliant ruby with a luminous core, displaying the colour characteristic of well-ripened Grenache-based wines.
Breeding
Aged 12 months in large oak vats and oak barrels.
This wine is an excellent companion to braised beef with rosemary, where its tannin structure will complement the richness of the dish. It is equally at home with roasted lamb à la provençale, where the wine's spice notes echo the herbs of the preparation. Serve at 16–17°C for optimal expression.

Domaine Pierre Amadieu is a family wine estate in Gigondas (Vaucluse), Southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1929. Around 135 hectares of vines. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault. Appellations: Gigondas, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages. One of the largest Gigondas estates. Cuvée Romane Machotte among the most sought-after.
