CHATEAU COUTET
Château Coutet sits at the heart of the Barsac appellation in the Gironde, its 38 hectares of reddish clay-limestone and fine gravels forming a single contiguous plateau. Founded in 1643 and classified Premier Grand Cru in 1855, the château has been guided since 1977 by the Baly family, who have maintained its reputation for precision across every vintage. With Sémillon at 75% of the blend and yields held to around 9 hl/ha, the wines are rich, focused sweet whites of considerable aromatic refinement. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for its parcel-by-parcel viticulture, HVE certification, and the remarkable steadiness it brings to one of Bordeaux's most demanding appellations. A great Gironde classic, faithful to its character for nearly four centuries.
