The fruited charm and floral elegance of Viognier

  • This pure Viognier expresses the hallmark characteristics of the Rhône Valley's most distinctive white varietal: bright stone fruit aromas of apricot and peach, complemented by white floral notes and a subtle citrus edge.
  • From the cooler hillsides of Collines Rhodaniennes, this wine benefits from a terroir that preserves Viognier's natural freshness and elegance whilst allowing the varietal to develop its characteristic aromatic richness and complexity.
  • An approachable and versatile white wine that balances roundness with lively acidity. Equally suited to convivial moments or lighter meals, it offers genuine pleasure without pretension.

Breeding
Aged in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and purity of the Viognier's aromas, with no oak influence
On the eye
Pale golden yellow with bright, luminous reflections
On the nose
Expressive and seductive bouquet dominated by peach and apricot, white flowers and a subtle citrus note. The aromatics are clean and well-defined.
In the mouth
Round and silky on the palate with refreshing acidity that balances the wine's natural richness. Stone fruit flavours persist alongside white floral notes, finishing with a gentle citrus touch. The texture is smooth with a pleasant, fruited length.
M. Francois
A convivial and fresh expression of Viognier that captures the varietal's aromatic generosity and gourmandise. The combination of fruited and floral character with rounded, velvety texture makes it ideal as an aperitif or paired with lighter fare—grilled fish, salads, vegetable-based dishes. Accessible and unpretentious, it is well-suited to moments of shared pleasure.

DOMAINE LOUIS CHEZE

On the granite hillsides of Limony in Ardèche, Domaine Louis Cheze works 35 hectares within the Saint-Joseph appellation, on the right bank of the Rhône. Louis Chèze took over the property in 1978 with a single hectare, building the estate steadily around Syrah for the reds and Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier for the whites, with yields held between 25 and 40 hl/ha depending on the cuvée. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the consistency of its wines, the frank mineral expression of Limony's granite, and the commitment of three generations — Louis, Camille and Benoît Chèze — to one of the northern Rhône's most demanding terroirs. A dependable reference from the Vallée du Rhône.
