Deep purple-black, with youthful intensity
On the nose
Aromas of dark cherry and blackberry are complemented by subtle notes of pencil lead, lavender and dried herbs. A whisper of spice adds further dimension.
In the mouth
Mid-weight and assured on the palate. Ripe dark fruits are framed by velvety tannins and a refreshing mineral spine, leading to a long, composed finish with gentle grip.
A wine of considerable breeding. The 2023 vintage pairs beautifully with lamb, particularly milk-fed preparations where its mineral character and fruit purity can shine. Also suited to duck and game birds. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the wine to breathe and reveal its full character.
