Pure expression of Côtes de Bourg terroir

  • Château Roc de Cambes occupies the most prestigious slopes of Côtes de Bourg, overlooking the Gironde. The clay-limestone terroir rivals the finest Bordeaux crus, endowing the wine with considerable complexity and aromatic depth.
  • Predominantly Merlot, this is a rich, generous and elegant wine marked by dark fruit, preserved cherry and cocoa notes. Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and spice, achieving an admirable balance between power and refinement.
  • Roc de Cambes possesses exceptional ageing potential. Approachable young for its fruit richness and silken texture, it develops admirably in bottle, revealing complex secondary aromas of forest floor, leather and truffle over years.

M. Francois
Château Roc de Cambes is a distinguished Côtes de Bourg that rivals many grander Bordeaux appellations. The silken structure, refined tannins and complex fruit-and-spice profile make it a serious wine of terroir. It will accompany red meat, game and aged cheese admirably, and will reward cellaring, unfolding further complexity over years. A fine choice for those seeking genuine Bordeaux character without the premium pricing of the Left Bank.
