Product features : Maison Louis Jadot - Pommard Clos de la Commaraine 2016

Breeding
Aged in French oak barrels, this process imparts a rich texture and subtle woody aromas whilst preserving the wine's character.
On the eye
Deep, dark garnet with violet hues, characteristic of fine Pommard.
On the nose
Complex bouquet of dark berries, damp earth and subtle spice, with restrained oak influence. The aromatics develop with time in glass, revealing further layers of complexity.
In the mouth
Robust structure with intense dark fruit flavours, leather and mineral notes. Silky tannins provide excellent balance and support a long, measured finish. Well-integrated oak complements rather than dominates.
M. Francois
A distinguished example of Pommard that demonstrates the marriage of power and refinement characteristic of fine Burgundy. The 2016 vintage shows excellent ageing potential and represents serious winemaking from a house of considerable reputation. Recommended for those seeking authentic, classically-styled Pinot Noir.
