In the mouth
In youth: vibrant red fruit flavours with notes of chocolate and peony. As the wine matures, deeper characteristics emerge: morello cherry, white pepper and a gentle tobacco leaf quality that adds sophistication and length.
On the nose
Complex bouquet of red fruits—cherry and raspberry—with subtle undertones of cocoa and floral notes. The aromatics develop gradually, revealing further layers as the wine opens.
On the eye
Brilliant ruby with excellent clarity and depth of colour.
Breeding
Ageing of 36 months including 24 months in barrel for 50% of the wine
A wine of genuine finesse that pairs beautifully with game birds, particularly woodcock. The structure and tannin balance make it equally suited to roasted meats and mature cheeses. Drink now or lay down for five to eight years to witness the evolution that defines this cuvée.
