In the mouth
Complex and velvety on the palate, with well-integrated tannins and a lingering finish. The wine shows good structure without heaviness, displaying the balance that makes it genuinely food-friendly.
On the nose
Expressive and inviting: dark cherry and blackberry fruits mingle with white pepper and subtle garrigue notes, revealing the wine's Mediterranean character with each swirl of the glass.
On the eye
Deep red with violet undertones, suggesting both maturity and freshness
Breeding
Ageing for 22 months in large wooden vats (40%), stainless steel tanks (40%) and demi-muids and barrels (20%)
This is a wine that rewards pairing with assertive cheeses—a mature Comté or Roquefort would be excellent companions. It also suits charcuterie and Mediterranean dishes. Approachable now, but will develop further over the next three to five years.
