Five generations of Burgundy winemaking across Beaune and neighbouring appellations

  • This wine demonstrates the richness and power characteristic of the finest Beaune expressions. The domaine's meticulous viticulture and traditional élevage methods yield a wine of considerable substance and complexity, built to reward patience.
  • The vineyard parcel is planted as a single, unified holding of approximately forty years' age, conferring the consistency and depth that only mature vines can provide. This continuity of terroir expression is fundamental to the wine's character.
  • The 2020 vintage requires several years of careful cellaring to reveal its true potential. Whilst drinkable now, it will develop considerably over the next decade, softening its youthful structure and allowing secondary flavours to emerge.

In the mouth
Dense, well-structured tannins provide the backbone in youth, but the wine possesses the balance and acidity to evolve gracefully. With time, these tannins will round and integrate, revealing a more supple, elegant mid-palate and a lingering finish
On the nose
Black fruit aromas dominate—blackcurrant and dark cherry—with subtle mineral undertones and hints of violet that emerge as the wine opens in the glass
On the eye
Brilliant ruby with a deep, lustrous hue characteristic of fine Burgundy
M. Francois
A wine of substance that demands proper accompaniment. Bring forth your charcuterie board—cured meats, aged Comté, and crusty bread will complement the wine's structure beautifully. Alternatively, it pairs exceptionally with game, beef, and well-seasoned poultry dishes. This is a wine for the table, not the glass alone.
