  • The domaine is managed with reasoned viticulture, balancing natural vigour with careful intervention. This approach preserves the integrity of the terroir whilst ensuring consistent quality across vintages.
  • This Genevrieres exemplifies the hallmark of the finest Meursault: a harmonious interplay between richness and freshness. The wine carries weight and texture without sacrificing the mineral precision that defines the appellation.
  • Acquired directly from the domaine, this wine benefits from our merchant's relationship with the family. We offer it at a fair proprietary price, reflecting our commitment to direct sourcing.

Product features : Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres 2022

In the mouth
Rich and unctuous, with a distinctive hazelnut character that is both refined and approachable. The wine displays excellent structure, with a lingering finish that speaks to the quality of the fruit and careful élevage.
On the nose
Roasted almond and hazelnut dominate, set against a backdrop of floral and herbaceous notes. Butter, honey and citrus complete a complex, layered bouquet with pronounced minerality.
On the eye
Gold-green in colour, with a luminous intensity characteristic of premier cru Meursault.
Breeding
Traditional ageing in oak barrels
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with vegetarian dishes—particularly those featuring nuts, grains, or earthy vegetables. Its textural richness complements creamy preparations, whilst its mineral backbone cuts through heavier sauces. It is equally rewarding as an aperitif wine or enjoyed on its own.
