Breeding
12 to 14 months in oak casks, with 20 to 30% new barrels
On the eye
Golden-hued, with the pale to medium intensity typical of fine Chardonnay from the Côte Chalonnaise.
On the nose
Floral and refined, with prominent notes of mint, linden blossom and fresh almond, complemented by subtle hazelnut and mineral undertones that speak to the terroir.
In the mouth
Supple and well-balanced, with good acidity supporting a clean, mineral structure. The wine drinks with ease whilst maintaining the poise expected of a Premier Cru.
A versatile food wine. Pair with shellfish, white fish, poultry, and pressed-curd cheeses such as Tomme or Comté. The wine's acidity and mineral character make it equally at home as an aperitif or at table.

Domaine François Raquillet is a family wine estate in Mercurey (Côte Chalonnaise, Burgundy). Grapes: Pinot Noir (reds) and Chardonnay (whites). Appellations: Mercurey, Mercurey Premier Cru. Around 10 hectares of vines. Traditional Burgundian vinification. The wines express the typicity of the Mercurey terroir with fine structure and expressive fruit.
