In the mouth
Impressively structured, the wine is solid and well-built, with considerable richness balanced by fine harmony. The tannins are refined rather than aggressive, suggesting a wine built for the cellar.
On the nose
Young wines reveal violets, wild rose, and fresh cherry. With age, the bouquet evolves towards pepper, musk, leather and spice, with notes of prune, forest floor, moss and damp earth. Blackberry and subtle game notes complete the aromatic profile.

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is a family wine estate in Vosne-Romanée, Côte de Nuits (Burgundy). Around 33 hectares of vines. Grapes: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Grand crus: Richebourg, Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot. Extensive premier cru holdings: Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vougeot, Savigny-lès-Beaune. One of Burgundy's most richly endowed grand cru estates.
