In the mouth
Ample and fleshy, with fine-grained tannins and discreet acidity in perfect equilibrium. The wine displays remarkable aromatic persistence, unfolding gradually across the palate with elegant length.
On the nose
Intense and concentrated aromatics reveal ripe red and dark fruits—cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant—interwoven with vanilla, warm spice, forest floor, and violet. With age, leather and game notes emerge.
On the eye
Deep ruby, with dark garnet tones characteristic of a well-structured Pinot Noir.
Breeding
80 to 100% new oak barrels
A wine of sufficient structure and depth to accompany rich, earthy dishes. Consider it alongside truffle tartare, duck breast with morel mushrooms, or aged beef. Its refined tannins also reward patient cellaring.

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is a family wine estate in Vosne-Romanée, Côte de Nuits (Burgundy). Around 33 hectares of vines. Grapes: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Grand crus: Richebourg, Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot. Extensive premier cru holdings: Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vougeot, Savigny-lès-Beaune. One of Burgundy's most richly endowed grand cru estates.
