In the mouth
The palate is structured and well-defined, with fine-grained tannins that provide framework without dominance. The mid-palate shows good concentration, whilst the finish remains elegant and persistent.
On the nose
Ripe red and dark fruits predominate, with secondary notes of forest floor and subtle spice. The aromatics develop with air, revealing layers of complexity characteristic of well-made village Gevrey.
On the eye
Brilliant ruby with good depth of colour
This wine pairs admirably with poultry and lighter meat preparations. It is equally at home alongside small game birds such as quail or pigeon. The structure and acidity make it a natural companion to dishes with subtle sauces rather than heavy reductions. It will benefit from decanting if served young, though it will develop further complexity over the next five to seven years.

Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy is a family wine estate in Gevrey-Chambertin (Côte de Nuits, Burgundy). Run by Gérard Harmand. Around 9 hectares. Grape: Pinot Noir. Appellations: Gevrey-Chambertin, Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru (Lavaut Saint-Jacques), Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru. Traditional vinification with oak-barrel ageing. Wines of great depth.
