In the mouth
Full-bodied and fruit-driven on the palate, with a refined peppery spice and hint of menthol adding complexity. The finish is notably fresh and persistent, with fine-grained tannins providing structure without heaviness.
On the nose
Powerfully expressive bouquet revealing delicate floral notes alongside ripe red fruits—particularly blueberry—with subtle grain-like minerality. The aromatics evolve with aeration, suggesting good ageing potential.
On the eye
Deep purple-red robe with excellent clarity and concentration
Breeding
The wine is aged 100% in 228-litre oak barrels for 13 months then three months in stainless steel tank.
M. Francois
This wine pairs admirably with duck breast in blackcurrant sauce, slow-braised lamb shoulder, or aged Brie with truffle. Its structure and acidity make it equally suited to lighter poultry dishes and aged hard cheeses. Drink now or cellar confidently for five to eight years.
