In the mouth
Ample and fresh on the attack, revealing roasted hazelnut notes. The finish is rich and complex, with iodine character and subtle vegetative bitterness—muscat and boxwood—that lingers with elegance.
On the nose
Fresh and mature, the bouquet offers honeyed and citrus notes with hints of menthol and acacia, followed by dried fruits, meadow mushrooms and iodine. With aeration, notes of beeswax, spice and lemon emerge.
On the eye
Pale golden-yellow in colour, with delicate green reflections.

DOMAINE ALPHONE MELLOT
Domaine Alphonse Mellot is a wine estate in the Sancerre appellation (Loire Valley). One of Sancerre's oldest winemaking families, spanning 19 generations. Around 50 hectares farmed biodynamically. Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc (whites) and Pinot Noir (reds). Cuvées: La Moussière, Génération XIX, Edmond. Flint (terre blanche) and limestone (caillottes) soils.
