A domaine of considerable standing in the Languedoc

  • Grenache provides the backbone here, delivering dark berry fruit, white pepper and warming spice notes that give the wine its distinctive character and appeal.
  • This wine rewards patience. Set aside a bottle or two in your cellar for five to eight years, when the tannins will soften and the aromatics deepen considerably.
  • The vineyard's name, Chemin de Moscou, derives from the historic tree that once stood sentinel over these parcels, marking the horizon for generations. That landmark is long gone, but its memory lives on in the wine.

In the mouth
The palate is generous and welcoming, offering ripe forest fruits interwoven with spice and mineral undertones. The wine carries good length, with a harmonious balance between fruit and structure.
On the nose
An expressive bouquet of dark forest fruits, white pepper, cinnamon and warm spices, with a subtle floral note of violets emerging as the wine opens.
On the eye
Deep violet-hued robe, nearly opaque in the glass.
M. Francois
A versatile food wine. Pair with game birds, roasted poultry, and aged cheeses. The wine's spice and structure complement rich, savoury dishes particularly well. Best served at 16–17°C.
