Breeding
Twelve months' élevage in oak barrels. The estate uses a moderate proportion of new oak to avoid masking the wine and respect the identity of this characterful terroir.
On the eye
Brilliant ruby robe with excellent clarity and depth
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with red fruit aromas—cherry and redcurrant—complemented by subtle earthy notes and a whisper of spice that speaks to the wine's terroir.
In the mouth
Fresh and elegant on the palate, with fine tannins and a gourmand character. The acidity provides excellent balance, leading to a clean, persistent finish.
This Maranges pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, particularly rabbit with mustard sauce, and traditional Burgundian charcuterie. It would also complement lighter meat dishes and aged cheeses. Approachable now, it will develop further over the next three to five years.

Domaine Sarrazin et Fils is a family wine estate in Jambles, Givry appellation (Burgundy). Grapes: Pinot Noir (reds) and Chardonnay (whites). Appellations: Givry, Givry Premier Cru. Around 20 hectares on clay-limestone soils. Traditional vinification with oak-barrel ageing. Fine, fruity wines representative of the Côte Chalonnaise.
