On the eye
Brilliant garnet robe with good depth and clarity.
On the nose
Expressive and inviting, with prominent aromas of red berries—redcurrant and cherry predominate—complemented by subtle herbaceous notes characteristic of Loire Cabernet Franc.
In the mouth
Fine, precisely defined tannins create an elegant mouthfeel without heaviness. The acidity is refreshing and saline, extending the palate with flavours of fresh red fruit. A long, mineral finish that lingers with grace.
The Haut de la Butte represents the most ethereal expression in the Domaine de la Butte range. It pairs beautifully with grilled or roasted meats, and will complement aged cheeses admirably. Drink now through the early 2030s.

DOMAINE DE LA BUTTE - JACKY BLOT
Domaine de la Butte is a wine estate in the Bourgueil appellation (Loire Valley), created in 2002 by Jacky Blot (also owner of Taille aux Loups in Montlouis). Grape: Cabernet Franc. Around 14 hectares on tuffeau, gravel and clay soils. Single-vineyard cuvées: Mi-Pente, Perrières, Haut de la Butte. Wines of great precision and fine depth.
