- Whilst the wine will develop further in bottle over the coming years, it is sufficiently mature to drink with pleasure now. The balance and structure suggest a wine that will reward both immediate enjoyment and careful cellaring.
- This Meursault pairs beautifully with poultry and lighter meat dishes. It will also complement delicate white fish preparations, particularly those featuring butter or cream-based sauces.

In the mouth
The palate is vibrant and well-defined, with good tension and a clean, linear structure. The wine displays power without heaviness, with a persistent finish that echoes the mineral character evident on the nose.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with fresh white flower notes—acacia and hawthorn—underpinned by subtle mineral notes. There is a pleasing freshness that speaks to the wine's terroir and careful winemaking.
On the eye
Pale golden yellow with brilliant clarity and a fine, persistent bead.
Breeding
Aged in barrels of which 50% new oak, then bottled after 12 months' élevage.
This is a wine of genuine Meursault character. It will serve admirably alongside poached or roasted white fish, and pairs particularly well with poultry dishes. The mineral backbone and fresh aromatics make it an excellent aperitif wine, whilst the structure and weight allow it to accompany more substantial preparations with white meat or light cream sauces.

Domaine Alain Gras is a family wine estate in Saint-Romain (Côte de Beaune, Burgundy). Around 12 hectares. Grapes: Chardonnay (whites) and Pinot Noir (reds). Appellations: Saint-Romain, Auxey-Duresses. Limestone and marl soils. Tank and oak-barrel vinification. Terroir wines of fine fruit and mineral expression. Available at Les Halles de Quercamps.
