Five generations of Burgundy winemaking excellence

  • This Saint-Romain displays the delicate balance and mineral precision that define the finest white Burgundies. The wine combines restraint with complexity, offering white stone fruit and subtle floral character that rewards careful attention.
  • Planted on the slopes beneath the ruins of the medieval Château de Saint-Romain, these vines benefit from exceptional terroir. The wine carries the structure and refinement one expects from a premier cru-level expression of this underrated appellation.
  • The vineyard's position under the château ruins provides ideal exposure and drainage, contributing to the wine's distinctive mineral character. Domaine Alain Gras, now in its fifth generation under Arthur's stewardship, continues a tradition of meticulous viticulture.

On the eye
Pale straw-gold with subtle greenish reflections
M. Francois
This is a wine of genuine finesse. Its mineral structure and restrained fruit make it an ideal companion to shellfish—oysters, langoustines, and scallops all find harmony here. The wine's freshness and precision also suit lighter fish dishes and crustacean preparations. A genuine expression of Saint-Romain's potential.
