Vines averaging 40 to 60 years of age provide the depth and complexity characteristic of mature Burgundian terroir. This age profile ensures concentration without excessive extraction.
The wine exemplifies the refined, aristocratic character for which Richebourg is renowned. Structure and elegance combine to create a wine of considerable breeding.
Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret represents eight generations of accumulated knowledge in Vosne-Romanée. This continuity of family stewardship shapes every decision in vineyard and cellar.

In the mouth
Young Richebourg demands patience. Initially intense and demanding, it requires several years to develop its full warmth and generosity. Elegant and refined, it possesses the structure for a long life, becoming in the finest vintages an expression of pure voluptuousness.
On the nose
In youth, the bouquet reveals leather and musk with sandalwood nuances, evolving towards hawthorn and peach blossom. Two aromatic families emerge: earthy notes of lichen, forest floor and mushroom; and darker fruit tones of cherry, blackcurrant and preserved fruit.
On the eye
Deep, luminous garnet with crimson reflections. The colour remains intense and dense across all vintages.
Pair with dishes of substance and refinement: truffle tartare showcases the wine's mineral complexity, whilst duck breast with morel mushrooms complements its darker fruit and earthy undertones. The wine's structure supports rich preparations without being overwhelmed.
