In the mouth
Substantial tannic structure provides the wine's backbone, whilst a rounded mid-palate and refined finish create equilibrium. The flavours echo the nose, with cherry and cassis notes supported by savoury, earthy undertones and a persistent finish.

A complex bouquet revealing dark cherry, blackcurrant, leather and earthy truffle notes. The aromatics are powerful and layered, developing with time in the glass to reveal further nuance and mineral undertones.

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is a family wine estate in Vosne-Romanée, Côte de Nuits (Burgundy). Around 33 hectares of vines. Grapes: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Grand crus: Richebourg, Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot. Extensive premier cru holdings: Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vougeot, Savigny-lès-Beaune. One of Burgundy's most richly endowed grand cru estates.
