In the mouth
The palate reveals well-integrated tannins of considerable finesse. Griottine cherry flavours persist through the mid-palate, complemented by subtle confited notes and a mineral backbone that extends the finish.
On the nose
A complex bouquet unfolding with morello cherry and blackcurrant, layered with leather and animal notes. Secondary aromas of preserved berries and cassis develop with air.

Deep garnet with intense colouration throughout

This is a wine of sufficient intensity and structure to accompany robust, flavourful dishes—game, beef in rich sauces, or mature cheeses. The balance between fruit and tannin makes it equally rewarding as a standalone glass, developing further complexity over the next five to eight years.

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is a family wine estate in Vosne-Romanée, Côte de Nuits (Burgundy). Around 33 hectares of vines. Grapes: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Grand crus: Richebourg, Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot. Extensive premier cru holdings: Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vougeot, Savigny-lès-Beaune. One of Burgundy's most richly endowed grand cru estates.
