The pinnacle of Château Pesquié's single-vineyard trilogy

  • A wine of considerable depth, Ascencio reveals the purity and intensity of the domaine's finest Grenache selections. Dark berry fruit and liquorice notes define its character.
  • This cuvée honours the ascent of Mont Ventoux, capturing the essence of one of Provence's most distinguished terroirs through careful vineyard selection and traditional winemaking.
  • Ascencio is produced exclusively in outstanding vintages and in strictly limited quantities—fewer than 3,000 bottles annually—making each release a considered expression of the domaine's philosophy.

Product features : Chateau Pesquie Ventoux Ascencio 2018

Breeding
Slow ageing in concrete vat (24 months)
On the eye
Deep purple robe with violet reflections, suggesting concentration and fine ripeness.
On the nose
Powerful bouquet revealing dark fruits—blackcurrant and blackberry—with distinctive liquorice and subtle spice notes. The aromatics develop with air exposure.
In the mouth
Full-bodied and concentrated, with ample structure and ripe tannins. The palate shows excellent concentration and a persistent finish characteristic of quality Grenache.
M. Francois
Ascencio pairs admirably with roasted and grilled red meats, slow-braised dishes such as beef bourguignon, and game preparations. Its structure and depth make it equally suited to contemplative drinking. Cellaring potential of 8–12 years for fine vintages.
