A classified growth since 1855, bearing the Rothschild mark

  • Owned by the Rothschild family since 1970, Clerc Milon shares the exacting standards of its celebrated siblings, Mouton Rothschild and Armailhac. This lineage ensures rigorous viticulture and winemaking across the estate's finest parcels.
  • The Carmenère in the blend contributes textural roundness and character, softening the structure whilst preserving the wine's inherent power and complexity. This varietal adds a distinctive signature to the Pauillac profile.
  • This is a wine of considerable ageing potential. Patience will be rewarded: cellaring for five to ten years will allow the tannins to resolve and secondary flavours to develop, revealing greater harmony and depth.

Product features : Château Clerc Milon 2022

On the eye
Deep cherry-red with garnet undertones, suggesting maturity and concentration
On the nose
An intense, layered bouquet of macerated dark fruits, liquorice and cedarwood, unfolding gradually to reveal further complexity and mineral notes characteristic of the terroir
In the mouth
Silken and velvety on the attack, with notable depth and refinement. The mid-palate is rich and suave, displaying cassis and blueberry with crisp acidity underpinning a fine-grained tannin structure. The finish is harmonious, with persistent fruity and mineral echoes
M. Francois
A natural pairing with beef fillet and seasonal vegetables. The wine's structure and elegance complement richly prepared meats without overwhelming delicate accompaniments. Consider also aged cheeses and game dishes as the wine develops further in bottle.
