An emblematic voice of the Margaux appellation

  • Classified as a Second Grand Cru in the 1855 Bordeaux hierarchy, Rauzan-Ségla has long been recognised amongst the finest properties of the Left Bank. This 2022 vintage demonstrates the house's commitment to elegance and precision.
  • The wine possesses excellent capacity for development in bottle. Whilst approachable now, it will reward patient cellaring, evolving gracefully over the coming decade and beyond, revealing greater complexity and depth.
  • Rauzan-Ségla is distinguished by its refined character: a wine of finesse rather than power, with silky tannins and careful balance. The 2022 exemplifies this philosophy of restrained elegance.

On the nose
The bouquet reveals red and dark berry fruits, floral notes, and gentle spice, complemented by subtle oak and earthy undertones that speak to the wine's terroir and élevage.
In the mouth
Silky in texture with well-integrated tannins, the palate demonstrates fine balance between fruit, structure, and acidity. A wine of poise and refinement.
M. Francois
This 2022 will benefit from several years in a cool cellar before reaching its optimum. The vintage shows the characteristic restraint and elegance of Rauzan-Ségla, with sufficient structure to develop gracefully. We recommend cellaring for a minimum of five to seven years, though it will continue to evolve well beyond that period.
