The essence of Saint-Émilion: tradition and refinement in harmony

  • One of Saint-Émilion's oldest estates, Château TrotteVieille benefits from an exceptional argilo-calcareous terroir on the appellation's historic plateau. This soil is ideally suited to Merlot and Cabernet Franc, conferring the wine with notable depth and complexity.
  • The blend is Merlot-led, providing roundness and fruit character, whilst mature-vine Cabernet Franc contributes structure and freshness. This harmonious marriage produces a wine of considerable power, elegance and refinement.
  • Classified 1er Grand Cru Classé B, Château TrotteVieille demonstrates considerable ageing potential. With time, it develops aromas of forest floor, truffle and leather whilst retaining admirable freshness and aromatic depth.
