  • The bouquet unfolds with precision and completeness—fresh citrus and exotic fruit invite the palate to explore further, revealing layers of floral and mineral character.
  • The oak treatment is restrained and respectful, allowing the distinctive gravelly terroir of Pessac-Léognan to remain the dominant voice throughout.

Breeding
On fine lees with stirring, in French oak barrels of which 50% new, for 8 months
On the eye
Pale yellow with emerald glints. Brilliant and limpid, with fine tears marking the glass.
On the nose
Intense and complex. Pink grapefruit and lime lead to passion fruit and mango, followed by honeysuckle and box-wood florals. Subtle vanilla and roasted hazelnut from the élevage complete the composition.
In the mouth
Perfectly balanced. Crisp acidity gives way to a salivating finish marked by linden and juniper notes. The wine's relief and elegance make it an ideal partner for dishes playing on contrast and refinement.
M. Francois
This wine embodies the domaine's refined approach: a marriage of fruit-driven generosity with the smoky minerality characteristic of Graves terroir. The structure and complexity make it particularly suited to seared scallops, where its acidity and subtle spice will find natural harmony.

CHATEAU BROWN

Spread across Léognan, Gradignan and Villenave-d'Ornon at the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Château Brown covers 60 hectares of graves over clay and clay-limestone subsoils — the classic Bordeaux terroir for wines of real depth. Founded in 1795 by Scottish merchant John Lewis Brown, the château was revived under Bernard Barthe from 1994, then decisively reshaped by the Mau and Dirkzwager families from 2004, who steered the estate towards HVE certification, achieved in 2018. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its Cabernet Sauvignon-led reds and the aromatic precision of its Sauvignon Blanc–Sémillon whites, both faithful expressions of the Léognan graves. A dependable Bordeaux address with a clear long-term vision.
