Vibrant fruit and refined elegance

  • A Margaux of genuine character, offering the balance and depth expected of the appellation without the premium pricing of its most celebrated neighbours.
  • Château Labegorce benefits from the winemaking expertise of Château Marquis d'Alesme, a Third Growth of Margaux, ensuring consistent quality and classical Bordeaux structure.
  • This wine rewards patience. Lay down a bottle or two for five to eight years and discover how the tannins integrate and the secondary flavours develop with time.

Product features : Chateau Labegorce 2022 — Margaux

Breeding
12 to 14 months depending on the vintage. New oak barrels: 40 to 50%
On the eye
Deep garnet with purple highlights
On the nose
Red and black fruits—cherry, plum, blackcurrant—with subtle spice and a whisper of cedar. The bouquet opens gradually, revealing mineral undertones characteristic of the Left Bank.
In the mouth
Concentrated and powerful, yet never heavy. The palate shows excellent structure with fine-grained tannins that frame the fruit without overwhelming it. Good length and a dry, elegant finish.
M. Francois
A generous, distinguished wine that punches above its station. In blind tastings, it frequently outperforms far costlier châteaux. A sound investment for the Bordeaux enthusiast seeking the marriage of fruit-driven pleasure with the gravitas of serious terroir. Excellent with beef tagine or a classic daube à la Bordelaise.
