CHATEAU SOUTARD
Château Soutard covers 30 hectares at the heart of the Saint-Émilion appellation, on a mosaic of limestone plateau, clay-limestone slopes and sandy lower terraces that lend each vintage its structure and depth. Founded in 1513 and listed as a Monument historique in 2015, the château spent nearly a century under the de Ligneris family before passing to AG2R La Mondiale in 2006, who have since driven a thorough renewal of the vineyard. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon express the full complexity of these classic Bordeaux terroirs. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the coherence of its encépagement, the typicity of its limestone soils and the consistent quality of its reds across the finest Bordeaux vintages.
