In the mouth
Medium-bodied and fluid, the palate unfolds with juicy dark fruits held in elegant tension by silken tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is long, refined and gently spiced, leaving a lingering impression.
On the nose
Aromas of morello cherry and raspberry leaf are complemented by notes of cooked blackberry, warm spice, pencil lead, lavender and Provençal herbs. The bouquet is layered and evolving.
On the eye
Deep purple-black, with youthful intensity and clarity
Breeding
16 to 20 months, of which 80% in barrels (10% new)
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, particularly milk-fed lamb where the wine's delicate structure and aromatic profile complement the meat's subtle flavours. It also suits game birds and herb-dressed poultry. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the bouquet to fully express itself.
