Ruinart: France's oldest champagne house since 1729

  • This vintage expression captures the distinctive character of 2010, a year of considerable quality. The blend draws predominantly from the chalky Côte des Blancs, with a measured contribution from Montagne de Reims, creating a wine of notable depth and refinement.
  • Dom Ruinart 2010 exemplifies the house style: a champagne distinguished by freshness and complexity, underpinned by restrained power. The interplay between mineral precision and ripe fruit creates a wine of considerable poise and subtle sophistication.
  • The assemblage comprises 82% from the Côte des Blancs—Cramant, Avize, Chouilly and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger—with 18% from the northern slopes of Montagne de Reims at Sillery. This composition yields a wine of textural depth and layered complexity.

Product features : Champagne Ruinart Brut Dom Ruinart 2010 — Champagne

Breeding
Minimum 10 years in the chalk cellars of Reims. Cork closure (rather than capsule) permits slow micro-oxidation that enriches the aromatic profile.
On the eye
Deep golden hue with delicate green-almond reflections
On the nose
A fruited bouquet evoking citrus, apricot and white peach. White floral notes mingle with almond paste and candied fruit, reflecting the maturity of the vintage and the wine's underlying richness.
In the mouth
Beautifully balanced: simultaneously savoury and lively, with a lengthy, refined finish. Silken acidity, stone-fruit freshness and an intriguing salinity converge to create a wine of considerable elegance and persistence.
M. Francois
Dom Ruinart 2010 is a champagne of texture and presence. Whilst the house's classic Blanc de Blancs celebrates lightness, Dom Ruinart pursues depth—a wine that rewards contemplation, revealing layers of complexity and mineral character that evolve gracefully in the glass.

CHAMPAGNE RUINART

Founded on 1 September 1729 in Reims, Ruinart holds the distinction of being the oldest Champagne House in the world. Spanning 17 hectares across the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, the House works chalk soils of remarkable mineral character, its Gallo-Roman crayères listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Chardonnay lies at the heart of Ruinart's identity, lending its cuvées a characteristic aerial elegance and precise tension. The House joined the LVMH group in 1987 and holds HVE certification. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this House for the consistency of its style, the depth of its historical roots, and the rigour of its viticultural commitments. A Champagne reference we are proud to list.
