Product features : Chateau la Bridane 2022 — Saint-Julien

In the mouth
Ample and well-structured, with elegant tannins that provide frame without dominating the palate. The mid-weight body carries flavours of dark fruit through to a persistent finish. This is a wine built for food rather than solitary contemplation.
On the nose
Ripe cassis and blackberry dominate, with secondary notes of graphite and dried herbs emerging as the wine opens. The bouquet is clean and well-defined, speaking to careful viticulture and measured élevage.
On the eye
Deep garnet with luminous edges; a wine of substance and maturity
Breeding
In barrels, two-thirds new oak
M. Francois
Chateau la Bridane 2022 pairs admirably with red meat preparations—particularly those with sauce—and performs well alongside grilled meats. The tannin structure suggests the wine will develop further over the next five to eight years, though it is approachable now. A sound, unpretentious Saint-Julien that rewards the drinker's attention.

CHATEAU LA BRIDANE

Set on the gravelly slopes of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle facing the Gironde estuary, Château la Bridane covers 15 hectares within the Saint-Julien appellation. The château takes its name from the abbé Bridane, a revolutionary-era curé of Saint-Laurent-du-Médoc — a lineage stretching back nearly three centuries under the Saintout family. In 2022, Pierre-Simon Saintout, the eleventh generation, assumed responsibility for the estate, continuing a committed approach to viticulture recognised by Terra Vitis and HVE certifications, with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the rigour of its vineyard management, its deep Médoc roots and the consistency of its wines in the classic Saint-Julien style.
