A wine of fine structure with silky tannins and good length. Flavours of dark fruits, cassis and liquorice develop on the palate, underpinned by the mineral character of the terroir.
On the nose
Intense aromatics reveal blackberry and dark cherry, complemented by spice and subtle oak influence. The bouquet develops with air, showing the complexity that defines Saint-Estèphe.
On the eye
Deep ruby with violet reflections, displaying the colour characteristic of the vintage and terroir.
M. Francois
Château Lilian Ladouys 2022 may be approached with pleasure now, though it possesses sufficient structure and balance to reward cellaring. The wine demonstrates the classic virtues of the appellation: power tempered by elegance, fruit supported by fine tannins, and the promise of further complexity with time.

CHÂTEAU LILIAN LADOUYS

Set on the plateau de Cos above the Gironde, Château Lilian Ladouys spans 80 hectares of graves and argilo-calcaire soils at the heart of Saint-Estèphe. Founded in 1564 as 'La Doys', the château was acquired in 2008 by the Lorenzetti family, who undertook a thorough restructuring that earned it Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel status in 2020 — a classification underpinned by rigorous viticulture, HVE certification, and an ongoing conversion to organic farming. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the precision of its gravelly terroir, the coherence of its classic Bordeaux encépagement, and the consistent upward trajectory the Lorenzetti family has maintained since taking the reins. A structured, characterful Saint-Estèphe worthy of the finest table.
