Terroir expression at the heart of every vintage

  • Sourced from the domaine's oldest vineyard parcels, this wine carries the concentration and complexity that only mature vines can deliver. The extended rootage provides remarkable depth and mineral character.
  • The wine announces itself with a compelling aromatic intensity. Dark fruit notes—blackcurrant and plum—mingle with subtle spice, creating a bouquet of genuine complexity and appeal.
  • A natural companion to braised beef dishes, moussaka, and confit of duck. The wine's structure and velvety tannins also pair beautifully with soft-rind cheeses, making it remarkably versatile at table.

Breeding
12 months in French oak barrels.
On the eye
Deep purple robe with excellent colour saturation and youthful vibrancy.
On the nose
The bouquet reveals an enticing array of dark fruits—blackcurrant and damson—with hints of garrigue and white pepper. The aromatic profile speaks to both fruit ripeness and the distinctive character of the Ventoux terroir.
In the mouth
The palate is generous and well-structured, with ripe tannins that are notably supple rather than austere. Good weight and length, with the fruit flavours echoing the nose. A wine of substance and balance.
M. Francois
This Quintessence cuvée demonstrates why Château Pesquié has earned respect among serious Ventoux producers. Pair confidently with slow-cooked beef, Mediterranean stews, and duck confit. The wine's structure also makes it an excellent match for aged Camembert and other soft cheeses with character.
