Ten generations of stewardship for this distinguished Loire terroir

  • Hand-harvested at optimal maturity, each parcel selected for its distinctive mineral expression. The fruit is brought to the cellar with care to preserve the delicate aromatics characteristic of the les Ruchons climat.
  • Gentle pressing followed by three days of cold settling allows the wine to clarify naturally, preserving freshness and complexity. This measured approach reveals the subtle layering of the vintage without aggressive extraction.
  • Sourced directly from the Domaine, Les Halles de Quercamps offers this wine at the producer's own terms, reflecting fair value for a wine of this calibre and provenance.

Product features : Domaine Henri Bourgeois Sancerre Blanc les Ruchons 2018

In the mouth
The attack is crisp and expansive, with a saline minerality that frames notes of caramel and gunflint. The mid-palate shows good structure and length, finishing with a clean, persistent mineral edge.
On the nose
Fresh citrus—lemon and ripe orange—mingles with flint and slate minerality. A whisper of white flowers emerges as the wine opens, with subtle herbaceous notes that speak to the terroir.
On the eye
Pale gold with greenish glints, suggesting youthful vigour and mineral tension
Breeding
Aged on fine lees for 12 months then rested for 10 months in cellar.
M. Francois
This Sancerre rewards careful cellaring and pairs beautifully with delicate white fish, shellfish, and aged goat's cheese. The mineral backbone and restrained fruit make it equally suitable as an aperitif wine for those who appreciate Loire whites of substance and refinement.
