  • The vineyard achieved organic certification in 2023, reflecting the domaine's commitment to sustainable viticulture and the expression of authentic terroir without chemical intervention.
  • A Burgundy of genuine character, offering the elegance and fruit-forward nature of Pinot Noir from this historic appellation at a considered price point.

Product features : Domaine Gueguen Bourgogne la Vigne d'Émile 2021 — Burgundy

Breeding
Brief ageing, primarily in stainless steel tanks
On the eye
Ruby in colour, with intense and luminous clarity
On the nose
Expressive red fruit aromas dominate—raspberry and cherry are particularly prominent, with subtle floral undertones characteristic of the Auxerrois.
In the mouth
Light-bodied yet generous in texture, this Pinot Noir displays red fruit flavours with a silken mouthfeel. The wine is approachable without sacrificing structure or elegance.
M. Francois
The wine's delicate fruit and soft tannins make it an ideal companion to charcuterie, particularly jambon persillé and other cured meats. It also suits lighter poultry dishes and soft cheeses. Best enjoyed at cellar temperature, slightly cool rather than room temperature.

DOMAINE GUEGUEN

Based in Préhy in the Yonne, Domaine Gueguen farms 25 hectares across 35 parcels in Chablis, Chichée, Saint-Bris and Irancy, on the Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils that define the appellation. Founded in 2013 by Céline Brocard — daughter of Jean-Marc Brocard — and her husband Frédéric, following thirteen years at Domaine Brocard, the estate brings genuine pedigree to its organic conversion, with yields held to around 40 hl/ha. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision and mineral clarity of its Chablis, the faithful expression of Kimmeridgian terroir, and the rigour of a domaine in purposeful transition towards certified organic viticulture. A reliable reference for lovers of serious white Burgundy.
