In the mouth
Silky and fresh on the palate, with flavours of cocoa seed and preserved morello cherry. The wine maintains excellent balance and concludes with a clean, lingering finish.
On the nose
Aromas of red berries, candied orange peel and salted butter combine to create an inviting, complex bouquet that develops with aeration.
On the eye
Deep amaranth red with purple undertones.

In large oak vats (75%) and demi-muids (25%) for 14 months

Le Clos du Caillou is a wine estate in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (Southern Rhône). Run by Sylvie Vacheron and Bruno Gaspard. Around 53 hectares. Grapes: Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault (reds), Roussanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc (whites). Organically farmed. Cuvées: Les Quartz, Les Safres, Reserve. Wines of great depth and complexity.
