Consistency and distinction from a great Rhône appellation

  • This wine reveals a singular complexity born from Guigal's mastery of the Côte-Rôtie terroir. The interplay of fruit, spice, and carefully managed oak élevage creates a wine of considerable depth and refinement.
  • The steep terraced vineyards with their distinctive schistous and silico-calcareous soils impart a mineral character and aromatic precision that defines the finest expressions of this appellation.
  • The palate demonstrates admirable balance: ripe red fruits and spice notes are supported by supple, well-integrated tannins that promise graceful evolution. Extended wood maturation has softened the structure without compromising ageing potential.

M. Francois
A wine of genuine distinction. Domaine Guigal has achieved a compelling balance between richness and elegance, with the structural integrity that marks the finest Côte-Rôtie. This is a wine of substance and breeding, neither over-extracted nor over-oaked—a thoughtful expression of its terroir and vintage.
