Domaine Guigal was established in 1946 by Étienne Guigal in Ampuis, the ancient village and historic heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. The house remains devoted to the distinctive character of this Northern Rhône region.
The 2019 vintage reflects a warm growing season, producing a wine of considerable structure and tannin. Extended oak ageing has refined these powerful tannins, lending complexity and depth to the final expression.

Powerful and concentrated, with well-defined tannins and a structured palate. Flavours of prune, blackberry and vanilla develop, supported by the wine's natural acidity and length. A wine of considerable breeding.
On the nose
A dense and expressive bouquet of black fruits, spice and subtle oak-derived aromas. The nose is intense and layered, revealing notes of dark berries and mineral undertones.
This Château d'Ampuis rewards pairing with game birds, red meat dishes and mature cheeses. The 2019's structure suggests cellaring potential; it will develop further complexity over the coming years. Serve at 16–17°C to appreciate its full character.
