Product features : Château Saint-Seurin – Côtes de Bourg 1998

Breeding
Ageing in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months
On the eye
Deep garnet, showing the evolution of age with subtle brick-toned edges
On the nose
Tertiary aromas have fully emerged: forest floor, dried leaves, old leather, and blonde tobacco. The bouquet speaks of maturity and complexity.
In the mouth
The attack is now seamless, with tannins that have become entirely refined and silken. The structure remains elegant, with acidity that carries the finish towards notes of cedarwood and gentle spice.
M. Francois
The 1998 vintage proved itself a true vigneron's year on the Right Bank. This wine pairs beautifully with simple, noble dishes that respect its delicate character—roasted red meat or a characterful pressed-curd cheese would be ideal companions.

CHATEAU SAINT-SEURIN

Situated at Roquebrune in the Entre-Deux-Mers, Château Saint-Seurin produces red Bordeaux from a classic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. The site has been documented as a vineyard since the mid-fifteenth century, and its name is thought to derive from an ancient chapel that once stood on the parcel — a detail that speaks to a remarkably long human and agricultural presence here. Today, the château is run with quiet rigour by Renaud and Claire Jean. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the integrity of its traditional Bordeaux assemblage and for the historical depth of a vineyard that genuinely embodies the Girondine spirit. A serious address for those seeking a characterful Bordeaux, free from artifice.
